The Odyssey, The Suitors in the Hall
A great house eaten out from the inside, a son who has never met his father, and a ship slipping out of harbour after dark.
Retold for sleep from The Odyssey by Homer, from a public-domain English translation long out of copyright. The story is Homer's; every sentence here is our own.
