The Odyssey, Pylos and Sparta
Sacrifices on a wide beach, a long chariot road through the corn, and an old soldier's wife who remembers everything.
Retold for sleep from The Odyssey by Homer, from a public-domain English translation long out of copyright. The story is Homer's; every sentence here is our own.
