The Odyssey, Past the Sirens
Wax in the ears, a rope round the mast, a narrow strait taken at speed, and a sleeping man carried home in the dark.
Retold for sleep from The Odyssey by Homer, from a public-domain English translation long out of copyright. The story is Homer's; every sentence here is our own.
