The Odyssey, Circe's Island
A bag of winds opened too soon, a house in a clearing where the wolves are tame, and a year that passes without anyone noticing.
Retold for sleep from The Odyssey by Homer, from a public-domain English translation long out of copyright. The story is Homer's; every sentence here is our own.
